Hi all,
I try to do the bridiging in our free-labs, but i dont know whether it is correct or not.
Vlan 10 - R1 & R3 e0
Vlan 20 - R2 & R4 e0
R3 e0 & R4 e0 on the same subnet - let say 192.168.10.0/24
R3 -e0 192.168.10.1/24
R4 - e0 192.168.10.2/24
is it possible to ping each other?
enabled bridging on the follwing interfaces
R1 e0 & S1
R2 e0 & S1
sampl config
#############
bridge 1 protocol ieee
int e0
no ip address
bridge-group 1
no shut
int s1
clock rate 2000000
no ip address
bridge-group 1
no shut
###############
thanks in advance

you need to route b/w different vlan, Vlan nothing but a broadcast domain.
Scenario here is, I want to bridge the two vlans using the routers R1 & R2, so i asigned Ip address on R3 e0 (to act like host) & R4 e0 (to act like a host) in the vlan 10 & 20.
whether these two can able to ping if enabled the bridging on R1 & R2.
I can see STP messages & it exchanged, i found the bridging working between R1 & R2 but could not ping r3/r4.
i will try something on my next lab session...
