Q: I've lost the Frame Relay config. Do you have it handy?
A: Yes, here is where we keep such things: Click Here
Q: What happens during the 1/2 hour period between sessions?
A: Free-labs.com is programmed to reset the configuration on all the equipment. Passwords are changed at the end of the cleanup period for the next user. The default configurations for all routers are just a hostname except for R7, which has a Full Frame-Relay Mesh; Default configurations are loaded before every sessions with the exception of the following: If a user has two or more consecutive timeslots, no cleanup is performed, the session is automatically extended and the cleanup period is waived.
Q: I can't get my serial links to work!
A: Because we use back-to-back serial connections, you have to configure the DCE end with a clock rate. See the Lab Diagram for DCE cable ends. All POD1/R7 and POD3/R5 Ports are DCE.
Q: So if it's completely free, what's to stop someone from scheduling every single timeslot?
A: To protect against such abuse, there is a maximum of 4 reservable sessions at any given time. This means that you can have as much lab time as is available, but you can only have 4 future sessions reserved for you. Once you have 4 reserved, the only way to schedule another session is to either wait for at least one session to expire, or cancel one or more of your existing sessions.
Q: Is this lab good for CCIE Study?
A: It's the perfect testing ground for learning protocol behavior, however, when it is time to narrow down your areas of study, such as with ISDN, ATM, and Voice technologies, Expert-Labs.com will better suit your needs.
Q: Why don't you run 'T' code on the 2500s ?
A: Due to the memory limitations of the 2501 series router, we had to choose between 12.2(T) IP Plus and 12.2 Enterprise IOS and we decided to go with 12.2 Enterprise in order to support ccie relevant features. If this is a problem, please Email us to voice your concerns.
